Post-Graduate Support for UndocumentedStudents at UC Berkeley

A Case Study

Abstract

During the 2023-2024 academic year, the Undocumented Research Cohort (URC) met weekly to discuss the unique challenges that UC Berkeley undocumented students face in seeking and finding post-graduate guidance and support on campus. While a number of resources exist to help them prepare for graduate school, a significant gap in resources designed to prepare students or professional careers after graduation still remains. This qualitative study offers both insights into and possible recommendations for improving the ways that undocumented student post-graduate professional needs can be addressed.
