Nan joined the IRLE in 2018 with 20 years’ experience managing private and local, state, and federal public funding, primarily for social justice nonprofits. She works with IRLE’s centers and faculty to prepare budgets, proposal packages, and manage their grants post-award. Prior to joining IRLE, Nan worked at Legal Aid at Work, an employment law nonprofit, and Goodwill Industries in San Francisco. Nan has also worked as a consultant to nonprofits and social and environmental entrepreneurs on proposals and business planning. Nan earned an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
