Ana has led IRLE’s communications strategy since 2021.
With a background in media production, she brings a deep commitment to labor rights and the arts. Before joining IRLE, Ana served as a shop steward and bargaining committee member for the SFMOMA staff union, co-authoring Organizing Power, a two-volume guide to unionizing and contract negotiation for arts and nonprofit workers.
Beyond IRLE, Ana serves on the board of La Peña Cultural Center in Berkeley, CA, where, among other responsibilities, she oversees preservation and cataloging of La Peña’s 50-year archive documenting Bay Area political and cultural history.
She holds a BA in Visual Arts and Latin American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Media Arts from the University of Chile.
