Aruna Ranganathan is an Associate Professor within the Management of Organizations department at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Her research combines qualitative, quantitative and experimental methods to study how individuals identify with their work and make workplace decisions, and how organizations affect workplace and social inequality. Much of her work focuses on economically disadvantaged workers in India. Her work has been published in scholarly journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, American Sociological Review, Management Science, Organization Science and the Industrial and Labor Relations Review. She holds a B.Com in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources from UBC’s Sauder School of Business, an MS in international and comparative labor from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations in 2008 and an MS/PhD in Management from MIT’s Sloan School of Management in 2014.
