IRLE is hiring a graduate assistant: November 2017 – May 2018
IRLE has launched two exciting new endeavors: the IRLE Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program and the ILRE Graduate Fellowship Program. We are seeking a graduate assistant to support the Associate Director in several aspects of these programs:
1. IRLE URAP: Matching undergraduate applicants with faculty mentors, organizing four research training sessions for apprentices during Spring 2018, providing informal support for the mentor-apprenticeship relationship, and organizing a forum in May 2018 for student research presentations.
2. IRLE Graduate Fellowship Program: Assisting the Associate Director in selecting an interdisciplinary group of graduate students to form 2018-19 cohort, providing logistical and program support for the program (e.g. creating web content), developing a series of 5-6 professional development workshops for 2018-19 (including identifying speakers, readings, and materials), and maintaining a bCourses site for circulating papers and comments.
Pay: $20 / hour
Time commitment: 10-20 hours a week, starting ASAP and going through May 10, 2018.
